Where to get the Best Kanelbullar (Cinnamon Buns) in Stockholm

A must-do during your trip to Stockholm is to try the Kanelbullar, a typical and traditional Swedish treat. In this guide, we share with you where you can get the best Kanelbullar in the city. The mentioned bakeries are the perfect places in Stockholm to do a Fika (Swedish tradition where they have a coffee with a treat as a short break). Besides the traditional Kanelbullar, most of these places also sell the Kardemombullar, which is another one of our favorites. If you happen to be in the city on October 4th, you’re in luck, since this is the national Cinnamon Bun day in Sweden. However, you can get the Kanelbulle during every day of the year, so you’ll never have to miss out.

1. Ingrid

One of our favorite places to get a Kanelbullar is Ingrid, a tiny bakery with the most delicious baked goods and coffee (to-go). You can enjoy your Fika in the sun on the small benches outside.

2. Lillebrors Bageri

Lillebrors Bageri is an open-kitchen bakery that sells baked goods such as Cinnamon Buns and Cardemom Buns but also delicious bread. It’s a small, popular bakery with just a few seats available.

4. Valhallabageriet

Valhallabageriet is a small bakery chain with three locations, serving delicious baked goods.

5. Café Pascal

Café Pascal is a small chain with three locations from which one is a Café (Nortullsgatan 4), one is a café and bakery (Skånegatan 76) and one is a coffee bar (Sturegatan 8). At Pascal, you can get delicious pastries, sandwiches, Kanelbullar and more.
